Rugby's new youth theatre
The brand new place for actors
We believe the arts make a town richer, and we want the young people of Rugby to get in on the act. In the Round Theatre is the brand new youth theatre providing weekly actor workshops for young aspiring actors.
Join us for a free taster session
Every participant is invited to a free taster session. This gives you a chance to try us out and us a chance to see if you have what we are looking for. Previous experience is not necessary as we are more interested in those that have the right attitude. After the taster session, if you are offered a place, we will ask you to pay the term’s fees to secure your place.

Who we are
Our passion for the craft of acting lead us to form In the Round Theatre, a place where Rugby-based youngsters can learn, develop and hone their acting skills, through weekly actor workshops, in a fun, safe and playful environment.
We are a non-profit making organisation, set up in 2021 to focus purely on stage craft and acting skills, run by volunteers Robert Sloan and Darren Pratt. In the Round Theatre is a member of the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) and the National Association of Youth Theatres (NAYT).
With over 50 years of combined theatrical and acting experience, we felt compelled to create an environment where we could share our experience of the life changing power of theatre with the young people of Rugby, regardless of background or experience.

"The number-one rule of acting is, 'Do not seek approval from the audience.' People don't realize that. You can't do stuff to get applause. You have to live in the truth."
Chadwick Boseman, Black Panther
